This 30 Minute Baked Chicken Penne is a quick and satisfying weeknight dinner. Tender chicken and al dente pasta are coated in marinara sauce, topped with melted cheese, and baked to perfection. It's a comforting meal the whole family will love.
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish optional
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375F 190C
Cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente
Drain and set aside
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat
Season diced chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning
Cook chicken until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes
Add cooked pasta to the skillet with the chicken
Pour marinara sauce over the chicken and pasta, and toss until well combined
